|WP10 - Tissue user application and tissue distribution process|
The aims for this work package are to monitor the structure and format of the tissue request process. BNE wants to properly maintain and make most efficient use of brain tissue samples and therefore needs to set up criteria for approving and processing tissue requests in line with national and international guidelines.
The participants of WP10 will respond to changes in national and international guidelines in issues of tissue donation, organ retention and service provision to research groups, thereby ensuring best practice in ethical dissemination of tissue to user groups.
Finally BNEII has to ensure that appropriate mechanisms to deal with large requests for tissue, ‘conflict of interest' requests and requests from commercial organizations.
